McKenna is officially an aunt! Tia is Spanish for aunt. Her niece was born via c-section weighing in at a whopping 7.14 pounds! That is like someone here having a 9 pound baby in case you are wondering. Babies of tiny Mayan women are usually no more than 6 pounds. McKenna supposedly weighed 6 pounds at birth (NOT!!!!). We were with her at her 3 week birthday and she could not have been more than 5 and some ounces. At her 2 month check-up, she was just over 6 pounds and that is with the good formula she had. This is a very good birth weight for Veronica's baby. It gives the baby lots of cushion for weight loss...just in case.

- This blog has been created to keep our family and friends informed regarding our attempt to adopt Cintia along with her journey to health. Although adoptions are suspended, we feel that God will somehow open the door wide enough for Cintia to become our legal daughter. We also pray, that in doing so, Cintia can help pave a road for those still waiting. Kids with special needs deserve a front row ticket or, like in our case, a backstage pass, to their forever families! Please pray for Cintia!
