Jose was the treat for today! Chase could hardly sleep...he was so excited for our special guest! Jose is here for medical treatment from none other that Genova Costa Cuca, Guatemala...the exact village where McKenna is from. His amazing host mom, Margaret, finally let us keep him so she could make some appointments. She is quite protective of Jose. Since his arrival, he has had 4 treatments on his face (the last of which was last week so his face is still puffy from the treatment...we have actually seen some good progress in the shrinking of this large hemangioma). He has also learned an amazing amount of English, some phonics in English & Spanish, lots of math skills, and even recognizes some words...all thanks to his amazing host family. He will return with some valuable tools for his future in Guatemala...an education! These photos show a sample of one of Jose's favorite pastimes...video games with friends! (The top picture of Cintia & Jose is special because COTA: Children of the Americas sponsored both of them for stateside medical care. Two COTA kids together for a play date...very special!)

Oh I love seeing Jose. He is absolutley the sweetest little guy. Robbie just loves him to pieces.
I am so glad to hear another treatment is over and can't wait to see more progress.
