Miracles are all around us....

Our miracle will come, but it will come right along with another adventure for our family. It appears the Lord has spoken and we must pack up and move to Guatemala in order to proceed with Cintia's abandonment and adoption. We hoped to get the abandonment process completed before we moved, but God has made another plan for us. The judge will not do anything without Cintia in the country.

With more details later, the interference from the committee threw up a red flag, but in fact the problem may have been there already. The judge was not scheduling the hearing for some reason so perhaps this didn't change that....yet it did reveal it. If she was still deciding (which is what our attorney thought was happening), one unnecessary phone call wrapped it up for us. The good in all of this (and you know that God can turn something intended for evil to good) is that the judge indicated to the attorney for Children of the Americas when she was asked "what if an American family wants to adopt her" that it would be great for Cintia and that she would allow someone to foster her. So the legal strategy is to file for a legal resolution with us as her "substitute family" while her abandonment processes. We will have to be in Guatemala with Cintia to do that. Then we will push for an abandonment hearing after that. Yes...the clock will be ticking and time will be adding up. Again....God's timing is perfect. He is taking us there sooner for what appears to be a longer stint of time, but that is what He deems best for our family. Maybe He will decide to shorten the adoption process.....or maybe he won't. In the end....as long as our girl is with us forever...we have our miracle. So please thank God for that....

Yes, friends and family are welcome to visit anytime. We have nooooooo idea how long this will take but God knows and He will bring us home in His perfect timing. A friend in Guatemala is following some leads for housing for us already.

More tomorrow after meetings in Guatemala unfold and more information becomes available. Please keep praying as our new life continues to unfold.

Blessings to you all!
April

April,
God has a plan and as hard as it is remember his love will guide your family. Know that I will do anything I can too help.
I also will write letters, make phone calls but mostly I pray daily that God will do what is best for your family. And that he will show the way to make Cintia a official Hayman, she's already one but we pray for the paper work that will make it legal.
As I have said before your whole family is my Hero!
